Douglas Ebenstein: Studied in Duke University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics in exchange for playing baseball for the Blue Grass Devils. After graduation, he pursued his master’s degree in business at the Boston University Graduate School of Business. In that time, he also worked for several financial institutions and he also served for three years in the Peace Corp. As a result of his experiences, he developed a passion to improve economic development in developing nations, and he has become one of the leading promoters of the “Green colleges” movement.
He currently serves as the Executive Vice President and a professor at the University of Michigan’s Center for Digital Accounting and Reporting. While there, he has achieved much success as an educator as well as a speaker and consultant. His many achievements include being named an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco and he is a fellow at the Center for Strategic Risk Management at Stanford. He has also received many awards including the Presidential Award for Distinguished Contributions to Scholarship and Public Service from the National Education Association and the Academician of the Year from the National Association of Schools of Business and Technology.
